The Institute invites UVA faculty from across the university to an upcoming Wildfire Research Workshop on Feb. 20th from 10:30 - 1:30 at the Environmental Institute Offices. This event aims to bring together an interdisciplinary group of faculty to identify fundable projects that align with national wildfire priorities and help advance societal resilience.

The workshop will feature three plenary sessions and discussions focusing on critical research gaps, UVA strengths, and existing research infrastructure. Topics include: Wildfire Dynamics & Forecasting, Human Dimensions & Decision Systems, and Feedbacks, Risk & Resilience.

This interactive workshop will allow attendees to brainstorm, refine, and prioritize various project ideas, foster collaboration, and develop research proposals aligned with federal funding priorities.
