The Advancing Interdisciplinary Readiness (AIR) Program is designed as a training resource for graduate students interested in becoming effective participants in interdisciplinary research projects. AIR addresses three topics: 1) a researcher’s ability to structure interactions to identify and envision actionable research, and 2) a researcher’s ability to work collaboratively with researchers from other fields of study, and 3) a researcher’s ability to identify and engage appropriately with community partners.

EI is currently recruiting graduate students to pilot AIR in the spring of 2024. Selected applicants will receive $1000 for successfully completing the requirements of the pilot program: attending two workshops, fully completing 3 online modules (~6 hours total), and providing constructive feedback to help guide future development of the program.

Interested students should click "Register" and fill out the form to be considered. Selected participants must attend the Opening Workshop on May 13th from 1-4pm. Three online training modules: Design Thinking, the Science of Team Science, and Community Engagement will be made available at the workshop.
