EI Director, Karen McGlathery, will host an information session on the Climate Collaborative program on Friday, February 16th at 1:00 pm via Zoom.
This information session is an opportunity for faculty to learn about the Climate Collaboratives, proposal requirements, and deadlines.
The Climate Collaborative will support large, interdisciplinary research teams in specific localities dealing with climate-related challenges. University teams work with external partners, including policymakers, business leaders, local citizens, community groups, and officials, to co-create climate adaptation and/or mitigation strategies that are based on cutting-edge research and are actionable.
Proposals will be funded at $1.5 million over 3 years, and can include support for personnel (faculty, post-doctoral fellows, graduate students, undergraduate students, community liaison), engagement (travel, community meetings, communications), and research expenses.
