Join the inaugural Research Interest Group (RIG) Faculty Fellows (Antonios Mamalakis, Negin Alemazkoor, and Huilin Huang) as they kick off a fall semester of collaboration, new projects, and exciting research discoveries. This one-hour virtual RIG event is open for all UVA faculty interested in environment and resilience research.
The event will begin with presentations by the Fellows on how their fellowships advance the research priorities of the Environmental Institute, support interdisciplinary collaboration, and will create new opportunities to expand research projects for anyone interested in the broad themes of AI, extreme events, and/or energy and infrastructure. Following the presentations, there will be a facilitated discussion on opportunities for collaboration and ways to advance interdisciplinary environmental research across UVA. Attendees will also learn more about EI's new RIG Faculty Fellows program, including goals, benefits, and how to apply for a fellowship.
