UVA is a pioneer of a research model that puts place and people first. Community-engaged research and coproduction with community members require a thoughtful approach and can yield research results that are sustainable and more effective.

In this panel discussion, UVA researchers with experience in research projects around climate change and sustainability that successfully integrate community members will share their insights, challenges, and tools.

Panelists include Caitlin Wylie (School of Engineering and Applied Science) and Tanya Denckla Cobb (Institute for Engagement and Negotiation, Weldon Cooper Center). It will be moderated by Moira O'Neill (Associate Director, UVA's Environmental Institute).

This event will take place at UVA's Corner Building at 1400 University Avenue and is held in partnership with the Office of the Vice Provost for Academic Outreach as part of Public Service Week 2024.
